 มีฉลามตัวหนึ่งว่ายน้ำเร็วที่สุดในทะเล

There was a shark that could swim the fastest in the sea.

从前有一只游得很快的鲨鱼。

วันหนึ่งฉลามมาเจอเต่าซึ่งว่ายน้ำช้ามาก

One day, the shark met a turtle that was swimming very slowly.

有一天这条鲨鱼遇见了一只游得很慢的乌龟。

มันจึงถามว่าทำไมเจ้าถึงอืดอาดอย่างนี้

The shark asked the turtle why was he swimming so slowly.

鲨鱼问乌龟：“怎么你游得那么慢呢？”

เต่าจึงตอบว่าถึงข้าจะว่ายน้ำช้าแต่ข้าก็ว่ายน้ำได้

The turtle replied, even though I swim slowly, I can swim.

乌龟答道：“尽管我游得慢，可是我还是很会游泳的啊。”

ฉลามฟังดังนั้นจึงโกรธมากและตอบกลับไปว่าเจ้าว่ายน้ำช้าแล้วยังมาทำอวดเก่งพรุ่งนี้ข้าจะแข่งว่ายน้ำกับเจ้า

The shark listened to the reply and was very angry. He replied that although you swim slowly you are boastful. Tomorrow I will race with you.

鲨鱼听了非常生气。然后它回答说：“你游得这么慢，还跟我吹牛。明天我要来和你比赛！”

วันรุ่งขึ้นฉลามรีบมาตามที่นัดกับเต่าไว้

The next day, the shark quickly went to meet with the turtle.

第二天，鲨鱼就依约迫不及待地来找乌龟了。

แต่เต่าว่ายน้ำมาตามปกติ

But the turtle swam at his usual speed.

但是乌龟还是和平常一样慢吞吞地游过来。

เมื่อกรรมการให้สัญญาณออกตัวฉลามรีบว่ายน้ำออกไปอย่างรวดเร็วส่วนเต่าออกตัวตามปกติและค่อยๆว่ายไป

When the referee gave the signal, the shark quickly swam away. As for the turtle, he swam away at his usual slow speed.

当裁判发出比赛开始的信号时，鲨鱼飞快地游走了。而乌龟还是不紧不慢地游着。

เมื่อฉลามว่ายไปครึ่งทางมองไม่เห็นเต่ามันจึงหยุดว่ายและนอนพักอยู่ข้างโขดหิน

When the shark reached halfway he could not see the turtle. So, he stopped swimming and rested near a reef.

当鲨鱼游到半路时，它发现已经看不见乌龟了。于是，它就停在一块礁石旁开始睡觉。

เมื่อเต่าว่ายน้ำมาเห็นฉลามนอนพักจึงว่ายต่อไปตามปกติ

When the turtle saw the shark sleeping he continued swimming at his usual speed.

当乌龟游过来时鲨鱼正在睡觉，他还是慢慢地游过。

เมื่อฉลามตื่นมาเห็นเต่าว่ายไปไกลแล้ว

When the shark woke up, he saw the turtle swimming in the distance.

当鲨鱼醒来，它看见乌龟已经把自己甩开很远一段距离了。

ฉลามจึงรีบว่ายน้ำตามเต่าไปอย่างรวดเร็ว

So the shark quickly swam after the turtle.

所以鲨鱼赶紧飞快地追赶乌龟。

แต่ไม่ทันเสียแล้วเพราะเต่าได้เข้าเส้นชัยไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว

But he couldn’t catch up because the turtle had already reached the finish line.

但已经来不及了，因为乌龟已经先到达终点了。

เจ้าฉลามเสียใจมากและได้กล่าวขอโทษเต่าทั้งสองจึงเป็นเพื่อนกันหลังจากนั้น

The shark was very sorry and said this to the turtle. The two of them were then friends forever

鲨鱼非常地难过，并向乌龟道歉了。此后，它们俩就成为了好朋友。
